National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium

Here, different coral reef tanks are displayed to serve as a preview that prepares visitors for their trip to the underwater tunnel. The journey start from the surface, where waves crash into the shore, Then, visitors pass the sloping edge of the reef, where the reef wall seems to drop to the bottom of the sea. Visitors may carefully examine the different species of coral that grow at different depths and notice the presence and interaction of fish and other creatures that have adapted to these environments.

The Marine Research Station allows visitors to learn how coral reefs are studied. Visitors will not only see all kinds of research equipment, but will also get a sense of life in an underwater research station.

Visitors may venture slowly through this 81 meter underwater tunnel, the largest in Asia. With a capacity of 1.5 million gallons, this colossal exhibit allows visitors to enjoy the stunning underwater environment without getting their feet wet.

This tank is located in the crack of a cave where lobsters and eels live. Here, visitors may become familiar with the ecology and habits of these rarely seen creatures.

A sunken ship will gradually appear, with schools of fish swimming around it and in its interior. Three display panels provide detailed information of the visible marine life.

Tourists will enter the bottom of a sunken ship in this exhibit and meander among the broken decks and corridors. Besides all kinds of corals attached to the sunken ship, a vast diversity of marine life can be seen.

Coral reefs are currently threatened across the globe due to climate change and other human impacts. This exhibit reminds the visitors that marine conservation if vital for a healthy Earth.

This 0.8 million gallon tank contains amongst the cleverest and most active whales in the sea, the beluga, or white whale. Walking within the transparent tunnel, visitors will see these beautiful and curious animals playing and frolicking with great vitality.

This explanatory and interactive exhibit aims to demonstrate how marine mammals eat, breathe, swim, raise young, keep warm, and dive.

Visitors will observe how the whales swim and breathe, as well as how veterinarians and aquarium staff ensure the good health of these magical creatures.
