Description : |
Marine natural product chemistry has been continuously developing during the past 6 decades, and to date, marine natural product chemists have isolated more than 20,000 new compounds from marine organisms, including bacteria, fungi, microalgae, seaweeds, sponges and soft corals etc... Many of these compounds are structurally unique and have been shown to exhibit significant biological activity, and several compounds are expected to be important drug leads or potential drugs. The main purpose of this project is the discovery of medicinal marine natural products from Formosa marine invertebrates and marine microorganisms. |
