Legends of the Fossils
 Legends of the Fossils is a series of interactive games that allow visitors to discover a fossil by digging, restoring and finally comparing the found fossil with previous records. Visitors can learn about fossils from different views and as a result, gain an interest in learning more about them as well as the ancient organisms.

Digging of a Fossil
Digging of a Fossil
 A sand pit an actual fossil digging site complete with digging holes in the wall and ground for visitors to excavate. This provides a great site for visitors to experience digging for fossils firsthand.

Restoration of an Ichthyosaur
Restoration of an Ichthyosaur
 Through the attempt in restoring fossil specimens of the Ichthyosaur, visitors can learn how the fossils are restored. The exhibition uses a model of an ichthyosaur, accompanied with multimedia interaction, to show the restoration processes of the skeletons, muscles, epidermis and body colors of an ichthyosaur.

 Ten different specimens were implanted with IC chips, which representing parts of the whole body of a fossil are placed in the exhibition site. There are three screens situated in front of specimens. Visitors can move the specimens near the sensor in front of the screen and the screen will then reveal the images of the original animals and their names.

A Different Earth
A Different Earth
 FLASH simulations are uesd to explain the changes of the earth,and how the environment affected the extinction and migrations of living organisms.

Geological Time Scale
Geological Time Scale
 This is the final site of the Fossil Unit. There is a service counter and a large geological time scale is installed behind the counter.
