| Visitors get to meet all sorts of living creatures while wandering in the kelp forest maze. They can learn about their sizes, weights, shapes, behaviors, sounds and texture through interactive simulations. Visitors will ideally gain a broader knowledge of the kelp forest ecosystem and its inhabitants. |

| Comparing your weight to marine animals |

| Visitors can compare their weights with members of a sea otter family, as well as several species of fishes common to kelp forest communities. The lights will reveal to the children which animal has the same weight as them. |

| Sounds of the Sea |
| |
| Visitors can hear sounds made by snapping shrimps, damselfish, lobster and seals by touching their pictures on the exhibition board. |

| Touch and Feel |
| |
| Touch and feel the different textures of the giant kelps, sea grass, horn sharks and jeweled top snails. |

| The Secrets of the Kelp Forest |
|
| This is an animated theatre especially for children. Let the little otter and little seal take you on a journey discovering the kelp forest in each of the four seasons. The story also illustrates the changes and the succession of the marine species in the kelp forest. The duration of the film is 12 minutes. |

| Who is Faster? |
|
| Riding on the back of the sea turtle, children can imagine the feeling of a sea turtle swimming in the sea. The information board behind illustrates creatures with various swimming speeds and children can try to figure out who the fastest swimmer is. |

| Camouflage |
| |
| The flatfish, "cabezon", decorator crabs and sea dragon are very adept at camouflage; Try and see if you can spot them in the kelp forest. |

| Who is Taller? |
|
| Children can compare their heights with the sunfish and the northern elephant seal. |

 |
| Swimming with the Fishes |
| |
| Cameras capture the movements of children, and the resulting footage is combined with a video of swimming marine organisms to give the impression that the children are swimming amongst the fishes. |

| Adventure in the Polar Region |
| |
| Children can safely explore the polar region by playing in a “polar playground” where they can learn about the different types of animals there. |

| Seaweed maze and Polar Adventure |
| |
| Visitors can explore the predominantly educational 2nd floor. There is a seaweed maze, in which kelp forest creatures can be encountered at nearly every turn and corner, allowing visitors to learn about various features of the endemic kelp forest creatures, including their size, weight, shape, behavior, sound, and texture. The "Polar Adventure" area has a variety of exhibits designed to enlighten visitors about the wonders of polar biology, including a collection of King penguins and puffins, surely one of the highlights of the whole NMMBA experience. |
