Guidelines for Platax

Platax is a referred journal. Articles should be original and should not be under consideration elsewhere.

Manuscripts of articles and reports should not exceed 40 pages in English. Book reviews should not exceed 5 pages in English. All manuscripts should be typed clearly on A4 paper, double-spaced and with a 2.5 cm margins on all sides. A separate sheet should give the author's name and academic affiliation, the title and a short abstract of no more than 500 words, and up to 5 key words. Papers should be submitted in. .pdf or .doc format.

Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and should be presented at the end of the article, double-spaced, following the order of appearance. Bibliographic references within the text should list the author's name and date of publication, e.g. (Fan et al. 2006). Extended references should be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper, e.g. (Fan, T.Y., K.-H. Lin, F.-W. Kuo, K. Soong, L-L. Liu & L.-S. Fang. 2006. Diel patterns of larval release by five brooding scleractinian corals. Marine Ecology-Progress Series, 321:133-142).

Five copies of the journal will be supplied free to authors whose manuscripts are accepted, these must be shared in case of joint authorship.

 二、本刊為英文國際型期刊。以發表海洋生物、生理、生態等之研究成果為主要旨趣。其他論文凡與上述旨趣相合者，亦接受刊載。

 三、本刊刊載的論文以純學術為限，類型包括：

四、請以Word格式撰寫（含五百字以內之摘要，關鍵字以不超過五個為限）。來稿應依首頁、篇名、作者姓名、摘要、關鍵詞、本文、參考文獻、致謝、圖版之順序撰寫。

五、來稿請附個人所屬學校機構，並附通訊地址、電話、傳真或電子郵件等聯絡資料。

六、來稿均依本刊編輯委員會制定之審查辦法進行審查。

七、本刊對於來稿之文字有刪改權，如不願刪改者，請於來稿上註明；無法刊出之稿件將儘速寄還。

八、本刊不負責來稿內容之版權（如他人之文字及圖像等）問題，請作者先行取得同意或認定符合我國著作權法規定，若發生侵權情事，概由作者自行負責，且勿一稿兩投。

九、本刊著作者享有著作人格權，本刊則享有著作財產權；日後除著作者本人將其個人著作結集出版外，凡任何人任何目的之翻印、轉載、翻譯等皆須事先徵得本刊同意後，始得為之。

十、本刊不另致贈稿酬，稿件一經刊出，贈送作者當期刊物五本。
