Location: Yen Pu Fishing Port in Hsing Yuan Village
Situation: We suspected that it had been entangled in a gill net before it stranded. With the help from the port staff and devoted villagers, it was soon transported into the rescuing center. It could not balance itself when it just entered a pool of shallow water, to be rehabilitated. Its breath stank, and was suspected to have lung infection. We fed it and administered intravenous drip of antibiotics. It gradually improved its health and started to eat. Blood tests revealed high white blood cell counts. It died of lung infection in the end.
Cause of Death: Diffuse pneumonia and suppurative pneumonia
