Five sea turtle were released in Taitung on Sep 29, 2017. One Green turtle(Chelonia mydas) was send to National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium(NMMBA) by staffs of Coast Guard Administration .The curved carapace length and broad are 81 cm and 71 cm. The other 3 green sea turtles and 1 hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata ) were bycatch in Taitung on 2017. During the releasing, about 100 people were invited to this special event for distributing knowledge about sea turtles and the importance of conservation.
